InstructionsReview the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.In this assignment, you will prepare a professional report—the culmination of your ongoing work on the research project in this course.In your textbook, Workplace Research: Conducting Small-Scale Research in Organizations, read Chapter 8: “Producing Effective Deliverables.”Download the Professional Report Template (Word) file. Use this document to write your research paper.Refer to the section “Anatomy of a professional report” on pages 230–232 of your textbook for additional details for each content area of the report. The length requirement for each section of the paper is shown below:Executive Summary. The summary is written last, after the research has been completed; however, it is located first in the paper, following a title page. See the example executive summary in the professional report template. Length: one page located on the first page of the report after the title page and table of contents.Introduction and Background. Introduce the research project and content of the paper. Provide the background details to justify completion of the research project. Identify the problem or opportunity and what brought it about. Explain the purpose, significance, and objectives of the study. Be sure to identify the implications if no action is taken.Research Design and Analysis. Describe the method(s) of the research and key findings. Provide an overview of the primary and secondary resources used to obtain data. Identify the analytical findings. Recommendations and Outcomes. Provide two to six possible courses of action. Select one for recommendation and describe what is needed for its implementation. Also, describe possible limitations or issues of the selected recommendation.Conclusion. Conclude with a brief overview of the key areas of the report and a call to action.References/Appendix. Include at least 8 to 15 references to substantiate evidence-based research and recommendation(s).The use of tables, graphs, and other “infographics” can be beneficial. If they comprise more than one-third of a page, place them in the appendix of the paper. Be sure to have a good balance of graphics and written content in the paper so that the content meets the 7 Cs of writing: clear, concise, complete, correct, correlated to the research, creative, and evidences critical thinking.In the appendix, place illustrations, tables, charts, longer lists, and so forth to support of the research project, as applicable. Include a minimum of one appendix page. Reference appendix pages from within the content of the paper.Write the report using the downloadable template. Use all of the headings as shown in the paper. Additional headings may be added, if necessary. Contact your instructor if there are questions specific to your research project.Use single line-spacing in the paragraphs and double line-spacing between paragraphs when writing the paper, which is typical of a business report. The body of the report is to be 6 to 9 pages in length (executive summary through conclusion).
